Winter Brights: Because If I See One More Grey Jumper, I’ll Scream.

Red, gold and blue long drop earrings

Look, I get it. It’s February. We are all currently living in "The Great Damp." You’re probably wearing a knit so thick you look like a very stressed sheep, and your skin hasn't seen actual sunlight since the late nineties.

The temptation is to just lean into the beige. To become one with the oatmeal-coloured wool until you eventually merge with your sofa. But seriously? We’re better than that. Or at least, our jewellery is.

If you’re going to be trapped in five layers of clothing just to go to the shops, you might as well make it fashion. Here is how to style your RainbowRegalia pieces without looking like you’ve been dragged through a Claire’s Accessories backwards.

1. The "Turtleneck or Bust" Rule

High necks are great for hiding the fact that you haven't used neck cream in a decade, but they can make you look a bit like a floating head. You need a big, unapologetic necklace to break up the expanse of wool. Think of it as a structural support for your personality. A bit of rainbow acrylic over a charcoal knit says, "I have a creative soul, even if I’m currently 80% tea by volume."

2. Earrings vs. The Scarf

We’ve all done it. You put on a pair of lovely dangly earrings, you throw on a scarf, and five minutes later you’re locked in a life-or-death struggle because your ear is physically tethered to your neck. The Fix: Go for our Bold Studs or chunky hoops. All the colour, none of the "emergency room" potential when you try to de-scarf at the pub.

3. The Cuffs (The "Look, I’m Productive" Trick)

Push those sleeves up. I don’t care if it’s freezing. Showing a bit of wrist with a bright, chunky bracelet makes it look like you’re about to do something important—like sign a contract or open a bottle of wine. It’s about intent.

The Bottom Line: We can’t control the weather, and we certainly can’t control the price of butter, but we can control how much sparkle we shove in people’s faces while we wait for Spring to hurry its arse up.

Shop the Back Room collection for Winter Brights and let’s all pretend we’re fine together.
