I created this piece by cannibalising two vintage necklaces that were doing absolute nothing on their own. The elongated heart pendant had completely lost its cheap silver plating, so I stripped it right back down to its raw, hammered copper base—leaving a gorgeous, bruised mix of silver tones and warm copper that looks far more intentional than its previous life. I paired it with bright, tumbled turquoise pieces salvaged from the second necklace and hung the whole lot from a heavy, chunky 40cm stainless steel chain.
It’s got a solid, industrial weight to it, a sharp dagger-like taper, and zero interest in being delicate.
